![]() SARVAMATHA SAMMATHAYA is the 97th Nama in Shri Sai Namavali (108 names of Shri Sai Baba) Baba did not find a new religion or favor any religion. Though devotees of all religions worshipped Him, He encouraged them to follow his or her religion strictly. Once he happened to scold a person who wanted to convert into Islam " Can you change your father? " The great Mogul Emperor Akbar started a new system of common prayer to God by establishing 'Din Illahi' (Gods religion). Baba Sai, by practicing what He Has preached, showed the way of worshipping God according to one's own religious faith. By sitting in a dilapidated Masjid and naming it as Dwarakamai, Baba started Akhand Deep, Tulsi Brindavan and Akhand Dhuni (Sacred Fire, The Parsi community worships Fire God) He got hung a big bell as we observe in churches. Entry to Dwarakamai is open to all religious faiths even animals; insects and birds, which have no religion, found their way and received Baba's prasad. Baba listened to Khoran and to Geetha. No one definitely knew whether Baba was a Hindu or a Mahomedan. In fact He unified the two communities by celebrating the Hindu Festival of Rama Navami with all due formalities and at the same time permitting the "Sandal" procession of the Mahomedans. He got the 'Gopal Kala' ceremony duly performed on the Gokul Ashtami day and on Id festivals, He allowed Mahomedans to say their prayers (Namaj) in His Masjid. So none could definitely decide whether Baba was a Hindu or a Mahomedan. He declared to the court of enquiry that His religion was Kabir. Such a unique and wonderful incarnation was Sai Baba who saw no difference between caste and caste and even beings and beings. This is no wonder, for he who completely surrenders himself to the Lord, by getting rid of his egoism and body consciousness thus becomes one with Him, has nothing to do with any questions of caste, religion or nationality. (Chap VII, Shri Sai Satcharitha) No one can sufficiently describe Baba's greatness and uniqueness. He always uttered "Allah Malik " meaning God is the sole owner. Though He had a human body, His deeds testified to His Godhood. All people considered Him as the Living God in Shirdi. Devotees of Shri Sai should propagate religious tolerance and avoid bloodshed in Human activities in the name of religion. (Contributed by Sai devotee Sai Eshwari)

My humble pranams to Saibandhus. I am sharing an experience of mine
and I am ever indebted to my Deva for giving me this opportunity. It was
on Thursday Feb 19, and I completed the Satcharitha Parayan and I was
wondering if Baba could bless me with his miracles. He indeed listened
to my prayers and answered few questions. Baba was certainly not happy
with few things, which he scolded me for and I have taken these as his
blessings. But If I repeat my mistake again and again, would Sayin
maharaj come to my rescue? As a disciple, I have to honor my Deva's
dictum and no excuses what so ever. I justified my actions with a
devotee R. B Purandhare, who loved Baba very dearly. Purandhare wanted
Baba to have royal paraphernalia and so he along with Radhakrishna Ayi
acquired Silver Palanquin (not the one that is now used) which was later
moved to storage room after some silver ornaments were stolen off of the
palanquin. The devotees felt that a lockable shed was required and the
job entailed boring holes into the side of mosque. Purandhare started
drilling holes when Baba was out at Lendi, villagers fled the scene
knowing that this will invite Baba's wrath. As soon as Baba returned, he
flew into rage and continued raining down abuse on Purandhare.
Purandhare was very stubborn and would not leave until the job was
finished without pausing for even food. Baba later commented to Dixit
that since Purandhare has not eaten, He Himself was feeling the pangs of
hunger. Purandhare was listening to all this and later when Baba sent
somebody for him, he came running to Baba, fell at Baba's feet and wept.
This was a scene of reconciliation - Baba's scolding and consoling and
Purandhare overwhelmed by Baba's love for him. Needless to say, my love
and devotion to Baba are nowhere close to that of Purandhare but every
time Baba said something, I behaved stubbornly and invited his wrath.
Easy to say Purandhare didn't heed to Baba but was my love, faith,
devotion and dedication anywhere close to Purandhare? Am I not a fool to
justify Purandhare's action with mine, saying he didn't heed Baba's
advise but Purandhare is a surrendered and blessed soul of Baba. With my
stubborn attitude, I caused my Deva lot of hardship and pain. Poor Baba,
has to take all this for the sake of his devotees. Baba's love for his
devotees is beyond our imagination and his scoldings are blessings! But
I would like to urge a word of caution; Guru's order has to be adhered
without any intellectual reasoning or knowledge. O Samartha Sadguru
Sainatha, ever shower your grace on us and take mercy on the poor souls!
We ignorant children have caused lot of troubles and you have to suffer
because of our actions. Deva, I beg for your forgiveness, and take pity
on this ignorant soul and let this soul be dedicated for your service at
the lotus feet of yours. Jai Sairam.

Manav Sharma I am a strong devotee of Sri Sai Baba. Recently, I have undergone an eye surgery. I was very nervous at the moment when surgery was happening. However, It was a miracle, I could see Sai Baba standing and blessing me during my operation. I cannot explain my happiness which I felt at that moment. I pray to you Baba to keep your blessing hand on all your devotes. Thanks Baba. Shantala V Acharya I was constantly distressed and mentally pressurized for the past
couple of months, I felt relived to read Sai Sacharitha everyday. One
day it Happened while reading the Satcharitha I felt mentally light and
I unconsciously fell asleep and in a minutes time I was overwhelmed to
see this live picture in front of me. There was 2 huge lion sitting and
one of them was reading Sai Sacharitha, and my anxious eyes saw a big
glass coming right from the heart of the lion and out of it came Sai
in the sitting posture, clad in white, blessing me. I was in a trance
even after I awoke, I could not believe my eyes. I felt happy, my
devotion to you Sai is so small like a drop of water in this endless
ocean of love and devotion of so many ardent blessed devotees. This
small gesture of yours towards me has given endless hope and faith in
you, there are so many things, which is constantly bothering me. I still
hope to overcome it with your blessings. Bless All of Us; make our
belief stronger in you. SAI RAM!
